The Fight

One day after watching a group of lionesses kill a buffalo in Ruaha National Park, we watched a male lion come in to steal the kill.   The lionesses fought him off in a very vocal confrontation.  However, the lionesses then went in search of their cubs who had fled, leaving the carcass to the male.
